About Us

“Responding to God’s grace for us and for all, we care for the very young, the elderly, the ill and the aging.”
Bethesda Home opened its doors on
December 26, 1969
as a skilled nursing care facility. In 1981
Bethesda
’s
Sharing
Center
opened to provide child care to Bethesda Home employees. Later, we expanded services to the outside community and to infant day care. In 1985 a vision for a continuum of care was recognized and Bethesda Parkside Apartments were established. In 1993 its name was changed to Parkside Retirement Community. In
1997 Bethesda Towne Square
was opened to provide assisted living services to expand the need for services between our nursing facilities and apartments. In 2001, Bethesda Home completed a renovation project to provide private rooms to all residents.
Bethesda Senior Living strives to promote a community-like quality of life by providing a continuum of affordable health care services, housing alternatives and community services in a Christ centered environment.
Bethesda
seeks to be the leader in developing and providing quality lifestyle options for aging persons, and to continuously evaluate and improve our services.
All of our activities embody the Christian values we place on people, organizational and personal growth, responsibility, and leadership, while demonstrating our concern for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of older adults and their families.
Bethesda Senior Living is a not-for-profit organization sponsored by 14 area ELCA Lutheran Churches and governed by a nine member board elected from these congregations.
